A combination of fresh blended spices infused with extra virgin olive oil is an ideal compliment for fresh baked bread. Italian restaurants usually offer baked bread with a house bread dipping herb and spice mix at the beginning of the meal. You can bring the same savory bread dipping experience home to your table, with minimal preparation. Here is a bread dip recipe especially for the recipe garlic lover. You may adjust the amount of garlic used to your preference.

Garlic bread dipping recipe

Ingredients
1 loaf Italian flat bread or fresh French baguette
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, (try to find one produced in Spain or Italy)
5 garlic cloves pressed through a garlic press
1/2 tsp of Modena aged balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon dried oregano
A dash of fresh ground black pepper

Method:
Slice bread in ¾ inch thick slices preferably at an angle to the loaf when slicing, Pour extra virgin Olive Oil into flat serving plate. Dress the pool of olive oil with a ring of the pressed garlic all around the edge. Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the pressed garlic and into the olive oil. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese, oregano and ground black pepper over entire plate. Dip slices of Italian flat bread or baguette and enjoy, or serve as hors dourves.
