Balsamic Vinaigrette

Balsamic vinaigrette recipe that is simple and easy to follow, with a touch of mild honey.

2 - 3 Tablespoons of Aged Balsamic Vinegar
½ Cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A Tablespoon of Mild Honey (Preferably Star Thistly Honey)
A Dash of Sea Salt, Fine Grained
A Dash of Fresh Ground Black Pepper

Place the extra virgin olive oil, star thistle honey and aged balsamic vinegar in a mixing bowl and mix them vigorously. At short intervals, throw in small amounts of fresh ground pepper and sea salt, tasting as you do so and stopping when it is to your liking. The taste of your balsamic vinaigrette depends on the quality of the olive oil and star thistle honey you use, so be sure to buy only the best. Finally, pour your balsamic vinaigrette over fresh greens to make a delicious salad.

Of the many different types of mild flavored honeys, gourmet star thistle honey makes the best addition to your balsamic vinaigrette, giving it that extra taste without being overwhelming. Fireweed honey or even clover honey are lightly colored, meaning they have a mild flavor, and are possible replacements if you are unable to obtain star thistle honey.
